Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Rose, and Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Rose were the teachers at different times. Some of the pupils were: Raymon Melton, Faye Shearer, Wilma Shafer, Mary Rose Keim, Mary Frances Douglas, Marvie Dawson, Carrie Douglas, J. D. McCracken, Carrol Fos. ter, J. P. Sharp, Jr., R. B. Dawson, Jr., Edwin Dawson, and James Foster. The rank and file of these attended colleges and universities and won distinction in their respective fields of work.

Trustees in 1937 were J. P. Sharp, Wm. Dalluge, and E. V. Elkins.

TAYLOR
The Taylor School was situated six miles east of Kress. Mr. Dan Rhresman was one of the first trustees. From its original location it was moved one and one. half miles east. Mr. and Mrs. B. R. Coltharp were the teachers in 1937. This school along with others eventually was grouped with Kress, Tulia, and Happy.

PRICE
The Price School was located in the Whitfield Community and was named for Andrew and Hickman Price. This school was authorized by the Commissioners' Court 13 June 1892. According to Mrs. Grace (Moran) Evans, SWISHER COUNTY HISTORY, p. 103., The building was placed on the Price land, and in 1909 was moved to the B. F. Foster land, then in 1917 the building was moved back to the Price land. The first trustees were W. J. Taylor and Mr. Street. These two men aided in a subscription drive to secure funds to erect the first building. According to the Tulia Herald, A Miss Alice Beasley was the first teacher of the Price school. Other teachers of the school were: Bill McCollum, Mrs. Louise Allison, Mrs. Mattie Walling, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Martin, Miss Jewell Degge, Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Grigsby, Mr. and Mrs. AL. Crowley, Mr. and Mrs. Wiggington, Mr. and Mrs. Price, Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Cleaveland, Mr. and Mrs. A L. Shaw, Mrs. Mote, Mrs. Latta Mae Barrett, Mrs. Tinnie Thompson, Mrs. Zoe Gibson,
